Founded in 2009, STREETLINE has had a significant presence in the Macon community and its surrounding area, impacting more than 300 youth with little or no hope by transforming them into talented, responsible, disciplined percussionists. Since our founding, STREETLINE has been under the continuous, committed leadership of Mrs. Charlene Waller, CEO, Mercer University Social Science & Criminology Graduate and Founder Mr. Cedavean Waller, Omega Psi Phi, Creative Director, Edward Waters College former Drum Major and Music Percussion Graduate. STREETLINE has several certified volunteers that graciously give their time and energy to the cause of Transforming young lives….one drum beat at a time.
Director Cedavean Waller is a Music Major graduate from Edward Waters College. He will guide your child into percussion excellence. We are a strict, fun and disciplined behavior modification program.
Requirements consist of coming to one of our practices for shadow purposes only, completing our application process, participating in quarterly parenting workshops, and purchasing a $150 uniform (uniform assistance available).
There are few affordable opportunities for the youth in Macon to participate in positive activities that are related to the cultural and performing arts. STREETLINE has no participation fees and offers Middle Georgia youth a wholesome alternative to ‘the streets’ by providing education in music theory, percussion fundamentals, showmanship and musicianship.
